Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2026  ·  Sivoh, Inc.

requestaprayer.com is operated by Sivoh, Inc., a corporation incorporated in Delaware and operated in the State of Georgia. We take privacy seriously, particularly because this site handles something deeply personal: prayer. This policy explains plainly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do and don’t do with it.

1. What We Collect

Prayer request text

When you submit a prayer request, the text you type is transmitted to an AI service to generate a prayer response and is stored in our database. We store this text to help us understand what kinds of prayer needs people bring to this site, which informs the topics and content we develop. We do not attach your prayer request to any personal account, name, or persistent identifier. Note that prayer request content may include information touching on religious beliefs or health matters, which are treated as sensitive under applicable privacy laws.

Please do not include personal identifying information in your prayer request. This means avoid including your full name, address, phone number, email address, or the personal details of others. Prayer requests are stored in our database and may be reviewed in aggregate to guide our content development. If you choose to include personal information in your prayer request despite this notice, you are consenting to its capture and storage as described in this policy, and Sivoh, Inc. shall be held harmless for the storage of any personal information you voluntarily submit.

From time to time, Sivoh, Inc. may feature anonymized prayer requests and their AI-generated responses as published content on this site for editorial and search optimization purposes. No personally identifying information will be published. By submitting a prayer request, you consent to this potential use of your anonymized submission.

Session data

We store a one way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address for the sole purpose of rate limiting submissions, currently 25 prayer requests per IP address per 24-hour period. We do not store raw IP addresses. The hash cannot be reversed to identify you and is not shared with any third party.

Device and referral data

We collect your device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), HTTP referrer, and standard UTM campaign parameters when present. This data helps us understand how people find the site and improve the experience. It is not linked to any individual.

Prayer style selection

If you choose a specific prayer style (such as breath prayer, lament, or scripture-based), that selection is stored alongside your prayer request for content improvement purposes only.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account, email address, name, or any other identifying information to use this site. You can submit a prayer request and receive a prayer entirely anonymously.

Email correspondence

If you contact us directly by email (for example, to submit a privacy request or ask a question), we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and retain it for a reasonable period in case of follow-up. We do not use email correspondence for marketing and do not share it with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

  • Delivering the service — passing your prayer request to our AI provider to generate and return a prayer to you.
  • Rate limiting — preventing automated or abusive submission volumes using the hashed IP method described above.
  • Content development — analyzing prayer request themes in aggregate (never individually) to guide the topics, pillars, and articles we develop for the site.
  • Site improvement — understanding device types, referral sources, and usage patterns to improve the experience for everyone.

We do not use your prayer request text for advertising targeting, profiling, or any purpose beyond those listed above.

From time to time, we may publish anonymized prayer requests and their AI-generated responses as editorial content on this site for informational and search optimization purposes. No personally identifying information will be published. By submitting a prayer request, you consent to this potential use of your anonymized submission.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we are required to identify a legal basis for each way we process your data under the GDPR or UK GDPR. Our legal bases are:

  • Contract performance — processing your prayer request text and transmitting it to our AI provider is necessary to deliver the service you requested.
  • Legitimate interests — collecting device, referral, and aggregate theme data to improve the site and develop content serves our legitimate interest in operating and improving this service. This processing does not override your privacy interests given the anonymized nature of the data.
  • Legitimate interests — storing the hashed IP address for rate limiting serves our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the service.

Because prayer request text may touch on religious beliefs or health information (special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR), we are required to identify an additional legal basis for processing it. We process this data on the basis that you have made it manifestly public by voluntarily submitting it for the explicit purpose of receiving a prayer response. The full list of purposes for which we use this data is set out in Section 2 above. We do not use special category data for advertising or profiling, and we store prayer request text only in a form that is not linked to any identified individual.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing. See Section 10 for how to exercise that right.

4. AI-Generated Prayers

The prayers returned by this site are generated by an artificial intelligence model. They are intended to offer words of comfort, support, and expression for people who are looking for help in prayer. They are not a substitute for pastoral counseling, professional mental health support, or spiritual direction from a pastor or faith community. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a qualified counselor or contact a crisis helpline.

Your prayer request text is transmitted to a third-party AI provider. We do not share your data beyond what is necessary to generate the prayer response. For users in the EEA or UK, data transfers to AI providers are governed by appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Advertising

requestaprayer.com may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. These networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. We do not control the data practices of advertising partners, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), sharing data with advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as “sharing” even when no money changes hands. We do not sell your personal information. If our advertising partners engage in cross-context behavioral advertising using data collected on this site, you have the right to opt out. You may exercise this right by:

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, advertising partners will request your consent before serving personalized ads.

6. Cookies and Tracking

First-party cookies

requestaprayer.com does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use session cookies, tracking cookies, or any browser based mechanism to identify individual users. All rate limiting and abuse prevention processing occurs entirely server side using a one way hash of your IP address, and no data is written to your browser as part of this process.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (typically _ga and _gid) to collect information about your visit, including pages viewed, time on site, and general geographic region. This data is sent to Google and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We use this information in aggregate only and do not use it to identify individual visitors. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google Fonts

This site uses Google Fonts for typography. When your browser loads a page, it may request font files from Google’s servers, which may result in Google setting cookies or logging your IP address. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising cookies

Advertising is not currently active on this site. When advertising is introduced, we will update this policy before launch to fully disclose the cookies and tracking technologies used by our advertising partners, and to provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.

Your cookie controls

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to submit a prayer request or receive a prayer, as our core service does not rely on browser cookies. Disabling cookies may affect Google Analytics tracking and Google Fonts delivery. EEA and UK visitors will be presented with a cookie consent notice before nonessential cookies are loaded.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share prayer request text with any party other than our AI processing provider for the sole purpose of generating your prayer response. We may share aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics (for example, "the most common prayer topic this month was anxiety") without restriction, as this data cannot be linked to any individual.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sivoh, Inc., our users, or the public.

8. Data Retention

Prayer request records are retained in our database for up to 18 months from the date of submission for internal content research purposes, after which they are deleted. Hashed IP addresses used for rate limiting are retained only as long as necessary for abuse prevention purposes and are not used for any other purpose. Device and referral data is retained in aggregated, non-identifiable form indefinitely.

If you would like your prayer request data deleted before the standard retention period, you may contact us at privacy@requestaprayer.com. Because we do not collect names or email addresses, we cannot retrieve individual records by name, but we can delete records by approximate date, prayer text content, or other details you provide to help us identify your submission. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the data we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), one way hashing of IP addresses, and restricted access to our database. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your data has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

10. Your Rights — EEA and UK Visitors

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure — you may request that we delete your data.
  • Right to restriction — you may ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object — you may object to our processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests, including for content research purposes.
  • Right to data portability — you may request your data in a portable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (e.g., for nonessential cookies), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Because we do not collect identifying information by default, we may ask you to provide details that help us locate your submission. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@requestaprayer.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For EEA visitors, a list of supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu. For UK visitors, contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

11. Your Rights — US State Residents

Residents of California, Delaware, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have the following rights regarding their personal information. These rights apply to the extent we hold data about you that qualifies as personal information under your state’s law.

Right to Know

You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, and whether we sell or share it. This policy serves as our notice at collection. The categories we collect are: (1) prayer request text, (2) hashed session identifiers, (3) device and referral data, and (4) prayer style selections. We do not sell personal information.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions. To submit a deletion request, contact us at privacy@requestaprayer.com with enough detail to identify your submission (approximate date, prayer topic, or excerpt of prayer text). We will respond within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension if needed.

Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you. Given the anonymous nature of our data collection, corrections are limited in practice, but we will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. If our advertising partners engage in cross-context behavioral advertising that constitutes “sharing” under applicable law, you have the right to opt out. You may do so by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or by contacting us at privacy@requestaprayer.com.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

Prayer request text may constitute sensitive personal information under state law (for example, information revealing religious beliefs). We use this information only to deliver the prayer service and for aggregate, anonymized content research. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose. You may contact us to request further limitations.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will receive the same quality of service regardless of whether you submit a privacy request.

How to Submit a Request

You may submit a privacy request by emailing privacy@requestaprayer.com. Because we do not collect your name or other identifying information by default, please include details that help us locate your data (approximate submission date, prayer topic, or partial prayer text). We will verify and respond to requests within the timeframes required by your state’s law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

12. Children’s Privacy

requestaprayer.com is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted a prayer request and you would like that data removed, please contact us at privacy@requestaprayer.com.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes (such as new categories of data collection, new sharing arrangements, or changes to your rights) we will make the updated policy clearly visible on the site. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

14. Contact

For privacy questions, data requests, deletion requests, or concerns, please contact us by email. We aim to respond to all privacy inquiries within 30 days.
