Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of requestaprayer.com, operated by Sivoh, Inc., a corporation incorporated in Delaware and operated in the State of Georgia (“we,” “us,” or “Sivoh”). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference. Your use of the site is also governed by it. Together, these documents form the complete agreement between you and Sivoh, Inc. regarding your use of requestaprayer.com.
We’ve written these terms to be as clear and human as we can. This is a site built around prayer, and we want even the legal pages to treat you like a person.
1. What This Site Is
requestaprayer.com is a tool that helps people find words for prayer. You describe what you’re carrying, and the site returns a prayer shaped around what you’ve shared. It is a starting place: a set of words to hold, adapt, or simply sit with.
This site is not a church, a pastoral service, a counseling practice, or a spiritual direction ministry. It is a technology tool, built with care, intended to make the act of praying more accessible to anyone who needs it.
The prayers generated by this site are produced by artificial intelligence. Each prayer is clearly AI-generated and is intended for personal, devotional use only. Some jurisdictions require disclosure when content is created by AI; we make this disclosure prominently and without reservation.
2. The Nature of AI-Generated Prayers
The prayers on this site are generated by an artificial intelligence model. That means a few things worth understanding:
- The AI works only from what you type. It has no knowledge of your history, your faith tradition, your relationships, or the fuller context of your situation. The prayer it returns is shaped entirely by the words you provide in that moment.
- The AI may not get it exactly right. Generated prayers may not perfectly reflect your theology, your denomination, your specific circumstances, or the nuance of what you’re going through. They are a starting point, not a finished word.
- AI can make mistakes. Like all AI systems, the model may occasionally produce responses that are inaccurate, theologically imprecise, or not well suited to your situation. We call this a limitation, not a promise. Please use your own judgment.
- No prayer generated by this site constitutes pastoral counsel, spiritual direction, or professional advice of any kind, including religious, psychological, medical, legal, or other professional guidance.
- We make no claim that using this site will change your circumstances, improve your situation, produce a specific spiritual outcome, or substitute for the ministry of a pastor, counselor, or faith community.
- We do not use your prayer requests to train AI models. Your submitted text is used only to generate your prayer response and for aggregate, anonymized content research as described in our Privacy Policy.
We believe in the power of prayer. We also believe in honesty about what a technology tool can and cannot do.
3. This Is Not a Crisis Service
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of suicide or self-harm, domestic violence, abuse, or any other emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service immediately. This site is not equipped to respond to crisis situations, and nothing generated here should be understood as crisis intervention or clinical support.
If you are in crisis, please reach out:
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988 (US)
- Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741 (US)
- Emergency services — call 911 (US) or your local emergency number
- International Association for Suicide Prevention — iasp.info/resources/Crisis_Centres
Your life has value. Please talk to someone.
4. No Professional Advice
Nothing on this site (including generated prayers, editorial articles, or any other content) constitutes or should be understood as:
- Pastoral or spiritual counsel
- Mental health, psychological, or psychiatric advice
- Medical advice or diagnosis
- Legal advice
- Financial advice
If you are navigating a serious situation, please consult a qualified professional.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use this site only for its intended purpose: seeking prayer for yourself or on behalf of others. You agree not to:
- Submit content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, or intended to harass any person or group
- Use the site to generate content for commercial purposes without our written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the site
- Use automated tools to submit prayer requests in volume
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious content intended to manipulate the AI system
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable law
We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access to the site, temporarily or permanently, if we reasonably believe the site is being misused, abused, or used in violation of these Terms.
6. Your Content
The prayer request text you type is yours. You retain full ownership of what you submit.
By submitting a prayer request, you grant Sivoh, Inc. a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process, store, reproduce, and analyze that text solely for the following purposes: (1) generating and returning your prayer response, (2) security, fraud, and abuse prevention, and (3) aggregate, anonymized content research to improve the site, as further described in our Privacy Policy. This license does not permit us to sell your content, share it individually with third parties, or use it in advertising.
Please do not include personal identifying information in your prayer request. Avoid including your full name, address, phone number, email address, or the personal details of others. Prayer requests are stored in our database and may be reviewed to guide content development. If you choose to include personal information in your prayer request despite this notice, you are consenting to its capture and storage as described in our Privacy Policy, and Sivoh, Inc. shall be held harmless for the storage of any personal information you voluntarily submit.
From time to time, Sivoh, Inc. may publish anonymized prayer requests and their AI-generated responses as editorial content on this site for informational and search optimization purposes. No personally identifying information will be published. By submitting a prayer request, you consent to this potential use of your anonymized submission. If you have concerns about a specific submission being featured, contact us at privacy@requestaprayer.com.
You represent that any text you submit does not infringe the rights of any third party and does not violate any applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The site design, editorial content, prayer guides, and all other original material on requestaprayer.com are owned by Sivoh, Inc. and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute site content without our written permission.
AI-generated prayer outputs
The prayers returned to you are generated by AI and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Under current U.S. copyright law, purely AI-generated content without sufficient human authorship may not be eligible for copyright protection. We make no claim of copyright over AI-generated prayer text returned to you. If you substantially adapt or add meaningful creative input to a generated prayer, you may have rights in the resulting work.
You are welcome to share a prayer you’ve received with others for personal or devotional purposes. Commercial use or mass republication of generated prayers is not permitted without our written permission.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
This site uses various ChatGTP as its AI processing provider. ChatGTP operates under its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Our use of ChatGTP is governed by the OpenAI Services Agreement . We are not responsible for ChatGTP’s practices beyond what that agreement covers.
This site may also display third-party advertisements served by advertising networks. Those networks operate under their own terms and data practices. If you wish to limit behavioral advertising, please see the opt-out options in our Privacy Policy — Advertising section.
This site may link to Uplift Prayer, a separate product also operated by Sivoh, Inc. Uplift Prayer is a distinct application with its own terms of service. A link to Uplift from this site does not imply that these Terms govern your use of Uplift, or vice versa.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party service, application, or website linked from this site.
9. Availability and Changes
We do our best to keep requestaprayer.com available and functioning well, but we make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. The site may be down for maintenance, updated without notice, or changed in ways that affect how it functions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes (such as new data practices, new limitations on use, or significant changes to your rights) we will make the updated terms clearly visible on the site. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
requestaprayer.com is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sivoh, Inc. makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, theological soundness, or suitability of any content generated by or appearing on this site, including AI-generated prayers. Your use of the site is at your own discretion and risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sivoh, Inc., its founders, officers, employees, and collaborators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this site or any content generated here, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on AI-generated prayers, decisions made based on site content, or interruption of service.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) and even if Sivoh has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights or other rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sivoh, Inc. and its founders, officers, employees, and collaborators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms, (b) content you submit through the site, or (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
13. Age Requirement
This site is intended for users 13 years of age and older. By using the site, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms or your use of requestaprayer.com shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Georgia. Judgment on any arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You and Sivoh, Inc. each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable in a particular case, that case may proceed in court but the remainder of these Terms (including the arbitration agreement) shall remain in effect.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm while arbitration is pending. Nothing in this section limits any consumer protection rights or remedies you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
For users outside the United States, local mandatory laws may apply to your use of this site. We make no representation that the site is appropriate or legally available in all jurisdictions. You access the site at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
15. Miscellaneous
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sivoh, Inc. regarding your use of requestaprayer.com and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject.
No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
